The history of Idiston starts like this...
Once upon a time,
two friends started making fresh, homemade sweets in
their kitchen by rummaging through their grandmothers' yellowed recipes
.
No menu.
Without a program.
No rules.
They basically made whatever they liked.
In the beginning...
The two friends started looking for the purest, tastiest ingredients all over Greece.

They traveled. They tried. They met small
producers. They discussed with them.
They tried again. They smelled and saw. They solved
their queries. They met people,
places and tastes. And they tried again.

That's how they learned that Pelion has the most fragrant quinces .
Tripoli produces the juiciest cherries and sour cherries. They learned
that in Epidaurus you find the best
citrus fruits and in Chios the tastiest
tangerines. These and only these would be
used from here on out.

In whatever they made, they used
raw materials and varieties of the Greek land,
from crops without drugs or
fertilizers. And they reverently avoided any
use of plastic.
They used glass jars and
paper boxes. Mild and controlled
detergents on premises.
After all, when all the materials are natural
and the waste water only water and sugar, there is no
need for stronger cleaners.
Zero Waste
They started by making spoon sweets. But they deeply believed that nothing should go to waste. Whatever nature offers us, we must find a way to enjoy it. And with sweets, many pieces of fruit went to waste.
So, they also started creating jams. And after the jams, came the homemade soft drinks. So that nothing is thrown away. Vegetables also entered their lives. In the same way that the fruits had entered.
By searching, traveling, testing, testing and testing again... And just like that, spicy sauces and marinades were now a fact! Healthy, homemade, delicate.
